Clemson Extension agents originally worked with farmers to help them raise crops and with women to safely preserve foods. Now we have the Rural Health team which is dedicated and experienced in offering in-person or on-line programs helping people control diabetes (one in eight of our citizens has that chronic disease) and also in lowering high blood pressure, along with other health areas. New classes start throughout the year and are available to all persons without exception, rural or urban. Clemson is dedicated to bringing unbiased, research-based information to South Carolinians to better their lives. If you just search Clemson Extension Rural Health, you’ll find information about their programs that can help you take control of and better your health. Or call your local Extension office and ask them to put you in touch with a rural health agent.
