Black Vulture Nesting In a Barn

A listener near Star, SC, finds a vulture nesting in an old cow stall. The black vulture (Coragyps atratus), also known as the American black vulture, is a bird in the New World vulture family whose range extends from the southeastern United States to Peru, Central Chile and Uruguay in South America.

He hosted SC Public Radio's <i>NatureNotes</i> from 1999 until his death in 2023 at age 78.
