The South Carolina Office of Resilience has expanded its public presence to meet the ongoing needs of lower-income residents of the Upstate, nearly a year-and-a-half after Hurricane Helene tore through the region.

The South Carolina Office of Resilience has a buyout program zeroing in on flood-prone areas in six communities. It's becoming an increasingly popular program and storms — and their fallout — are increasing too.
