Elena Moore
Elena Moore is a political reporter assigned to NPR's Washington Desk. She covers breaking news at the White House, Congress and other government agencies for all NPR platforms.
She is also a leading national reporter covering young voters and youth politics. As part of NPR's 2024 election team, Moore traveled around the country reporting on emerging political trends and top issues for young Americans who hold a wide range of political viewpoints.
Ahead of the 2022 midterm elections, Moore covered the first Gen-Z candidates to run for Congress. During the 2020 election cycle, she did both reporting and production as a researcher for the Washington Desk. She is also a former producer of the NPR Politics Podcast.
Before coming to NPR in 2019, Moore worked at NBC News. She is a former Paul Miller Reporting Fellow at the National Press Foundation and a graduate of The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Moore is originally and proudly from Brooklyn, New York.
