Safe canning

Just like local agents, they give research-based based information specifically for South Carolina. You can call or email; just search Clemson h g i c for numbers and links. They also have food systems and safety specialists who help with food preservation -- for example canning, which has a long history of being used to put up the bounties of a garden for use all year long. If you have a favorite family recipe, you should take advantage of this resource as it turns out that some of these aren’t safe – the specialists you talk to can design modifications if necessary so you can keep on making your grandmother’s pickles and canned beans and tomatoes.
