SC Lede: Smells Like Teen Spirit

SCDHEC
Off to the races. It’s been a little more than a week since 12-15 year olds in South Carolina became eligible for the Pfizer vaccine and enthusiasm, paired with other teens being vaccinated, has catapulted the demographic ahead of the 20-24 year old demographic. The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) said this early response was encouraging.

This episode of the South Carolina Lede for May 22, 2021, features: data from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) about teen COVID-19 vaccination rates; the latest state economic news; advice from South Carolina State Epidemiologist Dr. Linda Bell for businesses still mandating mask use; and much more.
