Gaffney police Thursday charged three people in connection with the shooting death of Jomiltron Fair, a 17-year-old who was killed Wednesday after a fight at a city bus stop.
Two of those in custody are minors — 17-year-old Reginald Barnes was charged Thursday with murder and the possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
Charged with the same offenses Thursday was 18-year-old Keveon Covington. The third person charged was a 16-year-old, who was found in Spartanburg Thursday. No other details about the 16-year-old have been released.
According to official and witness reports, Fair was attacked at the bus stop outside his home on West Rutledge Avenue. At least 15 witnesses, most of whom were students heading to school, were present. No other students were hurt.
