Jessica Satava, Executive Director of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra

Executive Director Jessica Satava shares about the diverse performances and community engagement opportunities coming to Greenville as the city's orchestra searches for its next music director.

In this Sonatas & Soundscapes interview that aired Thursday, August 31st, host Bradley Fuller speaks with Jessica Satava, Executive Director of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra. Satava previews the orchestra’s upcoming season and its search for a new music director following conductor Edvard Tchivzhel’s 24 years in the role.

As Satava explains, each of the six conductors vying for the position will be on the podium before the Greenville Symphony for a masterworks concert in the 2023-2024 season — with members of the orchestra and the larger community playing a part in the search process. Fuller also learns about the orchestra’s outreach efforts and the high level of dedication and artistry Satava finds in its musicians.

The Greenville Symphony Orchestra is a financial supporter of South Carolina Public Radio.
