This spring, high school students across the country are gearing up for the SAT. A good first step is taking the practice test to see where you stand. The tests reward consistent practice, and parents can help by creating a timeline. Resources are available, whatever the budget, from free online practices to private tutors and structured prep courses.
The night before the test, aim for a good night’s sleep. Eat breakfast the morning of, and take deep breaths throughout the day. Afterward, be ready to wait. Remember: the score is information, not a judgment. There’s always another chance to take the test, and many students do better the second time once they know the format and pacing.
