A high-pressure system located over the Mid-Atlantic will continue to bring winds from the south-southeast across South Carolina. It will also bring warmer-than-average temperatures on Sunday and Monday, staying between the upper 70s and low 80s.
Severe weather risk comes on Monday.
The week starts with a cold front moving closer to South Carolina, bringing a slight risk of severe weather. A few isolated storms could be moving through that could turn severe, producing damaging winds and tornadic storms. Ensure you have at least 3 ways of receiving weather alerts between Monday and Tuesday morning.

The cold front will likely push through the state. However, it will also lose its speed as it retracts as a stationary front. On Tuesday, a warm front will follow. This warm front will be part of another low-pressure system, exiting the Rockies on Wednesday morning. Expect the winds to continue mainly from the south-southeast throughout the next week, keeping the warmth in place over the Palmetto state.
The next chance for showers and isolated storms is Wednesday as the warm front moves from the southwest to the northeast.
