Colour of Music Festival returns to Charleston with chamber music series

Festival founder and artistic director Lee Pringle previews the works and performers coming to three historic venues February 2nd-5th.

In this Sonatas and Soundscapes interview, host Bradley Fuller speaks with Lee Pringle, founder and artistic director of the Colour of Music Festival. Pringle shares about some of the featured artists and programs of the festival's 2022 chamber music series, and reviews the pandemic-related safety measures the festival is implementing for both performers and audiences.

Launched in Charleston in 2013, the Colour of Music Festival has emphasized the contributions, historical significance, and artistry of Black classical performers and composers in cities across the United States.

Originally from Greenwood, SC, Bradley Fuller has maintained a deep interest in classical music since the age of six. With piano lessons throughout grade school and involvement in marching and concert bands on the saxophone, Bradley further developed musical abilities as well as an appreciation for the importance of arts education.
