Black Violin takes "Impossible Tour" to South Carolina

Violist and vocalist Wil Baptiste provides background on the classical-meets-hip-hop duo and previews concerts coming to Charleston and Greenville.

In this Sonatas & Soundscapes interview that aired Wednesday, February 9th, Wil Baptiste of Black Violin joins host Bradley Fuller to share about the duo’s unique, genre-defying sound. The two also discuss Black Violin’s outreach efforts, their 2019 Grammy-nominated album Take the Stairs, and the group’s current tour, which includes shows at Charleston’s Gaillard Center on February 11th and Greenville’s Peace Center on February 17th.

Originally from Greenwood, SC, Bradley Fuller has maintained a deep interest in classical music since the age of six. With piano lessons throughout grade school and involvement in marching and concert bands on the saxophone, Bradley further developed musical abilities as well as an appreciation for the importance of arts education.
