Summer often leads to increased screen time for kids. With school out, and less daily structure, many kids have more free time.
Friends may be unavailable due to their own summer plans, and with parents working, screens can become an easy solution for keeping kids occupied.
However, asking kids to stop using screens is not easy. Experts suggest making gradual changes. Start by setting aside a few screen-free hours each day and encourage kids to explore the outdoors without digital distractions. Parents can set a positive example by participating in these changes and making it a family challenge to reduce screen time together.
