Nearly one in three U.S. teens report being cyberbullied. Of those, 64% say it affected their ability to learn and feel safe at school. October is National Bullying Prevention Month and is a time for schools and families to stay informed and offer practical solutions and support.
To protect teens, experts recommend documenting and reporting cyberbullying to a trusted adult, school staff or the social media platform.
Prevention starts with smart digital habits. Teens can reduce their risk by adjusting privacy settings and avoid sharing personal details. These steps create a stronger sense of safety, online and at school.
