Into the Wild: The value of wildlife management areas

TRANSCRIPT:

Wildlife Management Areas are more than places to hunt and fish. These lands are carefully managed to provide habitat for a wide variety of species while offering public access for outdoor recreation.

Through habitat restoration, prescribed fire, invasive species control, and scientific monitoring, wildlife managers work year-round to maintain healthy ecosystems.

These efforts benefit everything from game species to songbirds, pollinators, and rare plants.
